8 things to know: Pickleball club to open in major industrial complex

In June, our Melody Simmons reported that pickleball would be joining the 56-acre White Marsh Interchange Park in Baltimore County, and now we know more. Dill Dinkers, the fast-growing Columbia-based pickleball franchise, will open its new club in the development in December. The spot at 140 Merritt Way will have 10 courts in all: three championship courts and seven standard ones. The space will also have room for events, a ball machine, a pro shop and a digital reservation system.

The club will be owned and operated by Eric Simmons, who has worked for Johns Hopkins University, and Danny Colacicco, whose background is in residential real estate. The new spot adds to Dill Dinkers’ growing footprint as the firm adds dozens of franchises from Charlotte, North Carolina, to San Antonio, Texas, in its aggressive national push. (Read More)
